Computer Information Systems—Networking

[MUSIC PLAYING] I bought my first computer
and was just absolutely blown away. And it’s been fascinating to
watch what the technology has enabled that we can
actually do now. They take you from the
beginning and work you all the way up. You need nothing, as far as
experience, coming into it. The hands-on portion of the
education comes pretty fast. It’s not tons and tons of theory
before you ever get your hands on any hardware. You start working with
things right away. You read about it. They lecture, show you the
highlights, and then you turn around and you get on one
of these systems and you start with it. You get into the routers and
switches and configure them. It’s good. The skills you learn here,
they’re highly sought after. A lot of the curriculum is
actually created by industry, so that’s great to know. Because these places that you
want to get out and work for, you know that they’re the
ones that are actually creating the materials. So you’re learning exactly
what you need to learn.
