Davis a muscletech athlete I’m here today to give you tips on how to boost
your sprint speed up first we have the hip flexor
activation throughout my career I learned a lot of things but most
importantly I learn how to warm my hips up and at the same time you’re also
strengthening your hips to start you want to take the strap you hook it in
and you want to strap it around your ankle then you get into the sprinter
stance put your foot back and explode up at the same time as you’re doing this
activation you also want to make sure that you’re working you’re working
extremely hard to make sure that you’re strengthening that hip the second
exercise we have will be sled pulls you take a harness or you take a rope and
you hook it up to the sled then you line up maybe five to ten yards away from the
sled get in a sprinter stance take off nice and explosive now imagine when you
take it off you’ll be super fast super Swift finally we have incline treadmill runs
gradually increase the incline to what you feel comfortable then increase the
speed they start anywhere from six to seven once you get going
15 seconds on 15 seconds off 20 rounds now you notice that I started with
weights they were around 10 pounds I did that so that I can challenge myself even
more even on the incline put the weights down that allows me to open up now I’m
more Swift and it shows me how much of a benefit that I’m getting with adding the
weights in my hand so there you have it muscle & strength I hope that these
exercises help you increase your speed
