Resume Tip: Use Stats to Show Value in Your Admin Position

Marsha- “What statistics could you use in
describing an admin background?” That is an awesome question. So, what statistics could you use in describing
an admin background? So, it depends on what you do as an admin. And by the way, if you have not watched “eight
ways to prove your value on your resume”, watch the video. It’s seven or eight minutes. There’s eight ways. I talk about the best ways to highlight and
quantify and use stats on your resume, no matter what your job is. But, for administrators … And I’m assuming
that you do some type of office management job. If you do an office management job, you likely
have groups you manage or interact with. How many groups? How many people do you support? There’s a number. I support seven people. Do you create efficient processes? Have you taken a process that was manual and
labor intensive in a multi-day situation, and you built a sheet, a workflow, or a whatever
that optimized it? I reduced something that used to take three
days, down to one day. Some thing like that. But those are the ways that … I would literally
think about everything that you do. Everything that you do. How many players are involved? How many units do you support? Do you process things for people within the
building, outside the building? How many customers do you support? Whatever it might be, use those kind of stats.
