TVN’s Training Tuesday | Lots of Learning, Networking in 2020 (2:25)

Hi I’m Scott Coburn and this is Training
Tuesday. it’s January and a whole new year of training is in full swing. Before
you know it our biggest event, the 2020 PSATS
Educational Conference and Exhibit Show will be here. In fact, the online
registration and hotel reservation system opens at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday
January 14th. Conference packets mail to members in December detail our 2020
workshops. More than 80 are planned on topics ranging from stormwater to social
media. Held in Hershey in May, the conference is a one-stop shop for all
things related to township government. It’s also a great way for busy local
leaders to squeeze in a lot of learning into a limited amount of time.
Learn more at conference.psats.org. While we’re on the subject of valuable things,
consider buying one of our Webinar Power Passes for your township. For just $79,
everyone in your municipality can attend unlimited PSATS webinars in 2020. You
can buy your power pass at our online store at connect.psats.org or under dues
invoice. Also, our 3-part PSATS Boot Camp is the perfect class for new township
supervisors. If you miss session 1 don’t worry we’ll be offering a live stream in
early January to bring you up to speed before sessions 2 & 3 of the bootcamp
kick off this month. These full-day classes are held on
consecutive Saturdays at locations statewide. Finally, I want to mention a
few other classes in our early 2020 schedule they include basic training for
secretaries and administrators, QuickBooks, Capital Improvements, Bidding
and Story Mapping and Inspecting Stormwater Outfalls. To register for
these and other PSATS workshops and webinars go to learn.psats.org or
call PSATS at 717-763-0930. Training information is also published every month in the
Pennsylvania Township news magazine. Be sure to tune in next Tuesday for Coffee
in the Capitol. And remember if you like what you’re seeing email us at [email protected] Subscribe to PSATS YouTube channel
