J: Hey what’s up everybody. Jeremy here with Katie to get you up to speed on everything happening around and inside Verizon. K: We continue to make progress in restoring service to areas of Florida hit hard by Hurricane Michael. You can check out the web for the latest updates. J: And today, the Google Pixel 3 is available for sale. Remember Jesse from the Google Pixel 3 launch event last week? Well he was super excited to go back to South Carolina and talk to his customers about the new device. And now, we have a surprise for him. Here’s Jesse’s general manager, Stacey Tyler, with more. Hey everyone, Google PhGs, get it? PhG like PhD, are experts in all things Google. They get the latest Google devices & accessories to be able to use so they can better sell to our customers. Today we’re welcoming Jesse as a Google PhG. He’s getting a Pixel 3, a case, a Pixel stand & some really nice Google swag. Let’s go in. Congrats, you’re a Google PhG. Really? So you get tons of stuff from Google because you’re a Google PhG, so go ahead & open up, show us what you got. Seriously? What are you most excited to talk to you customers bout? Google Pixel stand allows you to wireless charge the Pixel for the first time, so really excited about that. It also brings Google Assistant to your bedside so if you want to queue up music to listen to or look at your photos on a memory playlist you can definitely do that as well. It even incorporates Google Nest products, so if somebody rings your doorbell you can see from your bedside without even having to get up. J: Jess is going to have a blast using the new device. The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are available for sale today at Verizon – the Network chosen by Google. Check out the web for all the details. K: Yea, I love my Pixel 2, I can’t wait to see that Pixel 3 in action. Alright, and as part of our unwavering support and appreciation for those who serve our country – all Active Military, reservists, veterans and gold star families get a $200 prepaid MasterCard when they activate a new line of service and purchase a new smartphone on device payment. All the details on the web. J: Now here’s Jennifer with the rundown. Researchers have shown it is now possible to 3D print customized lithium-ion batteries in whatever shape is needed. While still very early in development, the research could have significant impact in the ability to build smaller and smaller devices. And a store dedicated to selling crowdfunding projects is coming to St. Louis. We The People opened their first location 2 years ago in Singapore and now operates 5 locations throughout the country. In addition to its focus on crowdsourcing projects, the store will also sell products that were created using this source of funding, including toys, puzzles, and home goods. And, a new app helps you sue anyone with the touch of a button. DoNotPay asks users a series of questions and then generates the needed documents and scripts. The app is currently free and users keep 100% of the money they win in court, for now. And that’s your rundown. J: Thanks Jennifer. Our Network and Technology team held its semi-annual Tech Symposium this week. Our teammate Grant Mitchell has more. G: Hi everyone, we’re in Sunnyvale, CA, for our Technology Symposium which brings together top technology minds across Verizon and Oath. The theme of this year’s meeting: “Build Tech People Love.” And with the recent launch of 5G, 5G took center stage, where attendees are brainstorming potential use cases for 5G commercialization. Back to you. J: Thanks, Grant. Looks like it was a great event. K: Alright, that will do it for us today. Be sure to follow us on social for everything happening around and inside Verizon. To help close us out is Jesse, Stacey and the rest of the Somerville, South Carolina store. Until next time, you’re up to speed.
